Study Buddies

Lydia is eating dinner at T.G.I.Friday’s with her friend Lucy. It’s their first time at this American restaurant and they are pretty excited. They’re celebrating because they just finished taking their midterm exams. They are study buddies and they promised each other that if they were able to pull off the final exams, they would go to T.G.I.Friday’s again. They have ordered two appetizers and a main dish. Now they’re considering sharing a dessert.

A Big Banquet

Scott is proud because he just finished preparing a fabulous banquet. He spent 16 hours slaving in the kitchen. After finishing school eight years ago, Scott has been working very diligently to move up the ladder and become the head chef. It took a long time, but the director of Human Resources finally took note of Scott because he always goes the extra mile and pays special attention to details.
