Fingernails and hair keep growing after people die. This I thought was true. There are horror stories about grave-robbers opening the coffin and fleeing the scene because the corpse’ nails and hair are longer. This is simply ridiculous. Think about it: hair and nails are parts of our bodies. Human bodies need nutrition to grow. When a person is dead, there is no more nutrition intake, then how could anything still grow? Still not convinced? Think about how much hair you grow every year, times 1000. If it were true that finger nails and hair both keep growing after people die, then every single coffin would be filled with all the hair and nails until it breaks from the pressure. Have you seen a picture of the mummy? Those are dead people, too. If memory serves me right, what’s wrapped around them is not their hair.
