We see many different types of advertisements every day. They have many different words and phrases.

Today’s question:
What types of phrases will make us spend more money?
Phrases that are more personal will make you spend more money. Phrases about money will make you less likely to spend money. Researchers set up a two stands that sold lemonade. One stand had an advertisement about time. The advertisement said “spend a little time to drink some lemonade.” The other stand had an advertisement about money that said “spend a little money to drink some lemonade.” Customers were allowed to decide the price.

This is what they found:
The stand that had an advertisement about time sold lemonade at US $2.50 a cup. The stand that had an advertisement about money sold at US $1.50 a cup.

When you plan on selling something, don’t talk about its price.
